How much do braces cost?
I have no health insurance at all and it would be of a cosmetic need. My teeth are a lil crooked and I just never got around to it and I think I want to get them sometime. Oh and what does it feel like too? Would those invisi ones work for crooked teeth or gaps or what?

It's in the thousands and it hurts when you first get them on and when you get them adjusted every 3-4 weeks. You can't eat as much and brushing your teeth is more difficult. Your teeth come out yellowish no matter how much you brush. I had braces for 4 years and brushed a lot and they came out yellow.

You can work out a payment plan with the orthodontist. the total cost for your braces would depend on several things, incl. how long you'll need to wear them. braces for one of my sons ended up being a little over $4000, spread out over several years. course it was totally worth it when i see him smiling today with perfectly aligned teeth! ;) it does hurt some when and after they adjust the braces cuz it's pulling the teeth into alignment little by little, but my son took advil and that helped. not sure about how the invisi braces work tho, sorry. those are new since both my sons had braces.

Something funny they always loved doing is they each got the bands for their braces that glowed in the dark. they'd go upstairs and stand near the bathroom light for a few minutes, then flip the light off, my youngest son would flip the lights off downstairs, then we'd sit on the couch and watch my two other sons come down the stairs, grinning. thing is, in the dark, all you could see of them were these 'floating teeth', LMAO!! omg it was hilarious! we have videos of them doing that, and even at their ages now, it's by far their most favorite thing to do, watching that video when we all get together. ;)

Braces can run you a couple thousand dollars... they only hurt at first, it feels like your teeth are being pulled together, but then you get used to them being on your teeth.
invisiline doesn't do much.

Don't go the invisilign route ~ not good results. In Massachusetts the average cost is $5000.

I paid $5500 for the white (less visible) braces/ two year treatment. With Invisalign, you have to get a new mouthpiece every couple of weeks, and it doesn't align your bite like regular braces. Regular braces are uncomfortable when you first get them, but you get used to it. They are also more difficult to brush. My insurance, however, doesn't cover braces - I make a monthly payment.
