Does anyone have knowledge of current cost of braces?
My 11 yr old needs them, and I have one income, just getting by and my insurance will pay a max of 1,000. What should I expect for the balance?

I'm 17 i just had my braces off last summer and the average cost is in between 5 and 6 thousand dollars without insurance. So it would cost you about 4-5 thousand.

My friend, also a single parent of a 15 yr. old, just put about $5500.00 in her mouth for braces. Her dad's insurance paid for part of it..... but my friend still has to come up with 2700.00. They have shared custody of the 15 yr old,,,,,but not the $$ end of things. Kind-a unfortunate for their daughter....don't cha think?? But good luck anyway..... and after raising 3 kids of our own, I wouldn't want to wish braces on any parent..... single or married.......It's a lot of darn $$$$$.

Well I got braces 2 months ago and my parents didnt have insurance and it came up to $3,605..It really depends on how bad ur childs teeth are.
